Can I just say that I'm absolutely sick of all of the bull shit going on in Eaton. We're letting all the topics get too heated between us and it's causing problems. Save the drama for the blog and for hall council because I'm sick of this. So VERY sick of this. I dislike feeling bombarded because I have different views on certain subjects. It isn't fair to do this to people. You want to know why no one who is for separate bathrooms is speaking up? Because you wont actually listen. You're so stuck on your views, on your opinions that no one else's matters. You say we have a say... but we only have a say if it's the same say you have

We don't shut people out. If you feel like you are going to be shut down, then tell us and we will definitely give you your space. We DO care about everyones opinions, and your misconception that we don't listen is bull in its own. We discuss, but its a discussion to reach a shared decision. We can't get our goal of a shared decision if we can't get a two sided discussion. Why don't we try and get everyone together to actually work this out? I think its serious that we can't get 90% to go to HC... its almost pathetic. I finally decided to go and voice my opinion last time and no one's opinion was shot down. Every opinion was discussed calmly and I don't see how someone would see that as oppressive. Everyone kept saying while I was there that we regretted fewer people came because we were offering to be accepting, and everyone was making the effort. We are making the effort...
So about the kitchen.... We need a cleaning system, because it seems that the same people clean it over and over again, and they are annoyed. What does everyone think about this?
ReplyDeleteI know that there are some faithfuls that clean after themselves every time, but there are many more who 'will be right back' or have only one thing so 'someone else will take care of it no problem' or 'you'll clean this right? thanks.' There must be an end to it.
So I agree that even if the bathroom extremists would listen, the people who disagree are still intimidated to speak up. People who agree are fighting with each other like crazy, so what is going to keep people from fighting with people who are uncomfortable with bathrooms.
ReplyDeletei know of people who would gladly listen, in fact I really want to hear the other opinions. At the very least they could tell someone their views so that someone who is comfortable arguing would be able to voice the other opinions.
Also, as for the kitchen, I think that we should meet and get a system for that going. If dishes create too much of an issue and NOBODY cleans them, I honestly say that the public dishes should be taken away and that anyone's personal dishes that get left out for too long should be put outside. A little bitchy, but thats what it takes to get people to notice sometimes
